The Land given the name "Florida" belonged to  various Indigenous groups

pre-colonization, including the Tocobaga, Timucua, Mayaka, and in SWFL, the Calusa. These groups, along with several who migrated from farther North, are the Ancestors of the Miccosukee and Seminole Tribes. to who's hands the Land rightfully belongs.
